Conference Theme:
Navigating Support Worker Education in a Post-Pandemic World
Abstract Submissions
The Canadian Association of Continuing Care Educators (CACCE) invites submissions for presentations for its annual conference. This year’s conference will take place online May 8th, 2023; all presentations will be virtual via Microsoft Teams.
This is an excellent way to present ideas, share best practices and generate discussion on the following themes relevant to the education of personal care providers /support workers.
• Accommodating Unique Teaching/Learning Needs
• Innovative Teaching Strategies
• Best Practices for Education
• Embracing Change, Welcoming Future Trends
ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

The abstract should be between 150 to 250 words in length.

The submission should follow the format outlined in the example below.

Include the name(s) of each presenter.

Each submission must include the email address of the main contact person.
-
It should be written in one or two paragraphs with no indentation (see example).

Include a brief biography of the presenters (maximum of 75 words total).
Important Information:
1. Submitted abstracts will be chosen for conference presentation based on:
-
Relevance to the education of support workers
-
Alignment with the CACCE 2023 Conference theme
-
Advocacy of the support workers, educators and/or clients.
2. CACCE will email the main contact person to indicate if their submission was accepted for presentation by April 14th, 2023.
3. Each presentation should be no longer than 20 minutes to allow for 10 minute question/answer period at the end.
4. All conference presenters are asked to submit a summary of their presentation, at least a week prior to the conference, to be used for posting on the CACCE website.
5. Send each abstract submission to wroberts@auroracollege.nt.ca
6. Individuals whose abstracts are accepted for presentation, will be expected to register for and attend the Conference.
